Week of April 16th
Bonjour,
This week, we continued our unit about clothing. We introduced the structures: "Je mets...." (I put on) and "Je porte..." (I wear).
First we started by reviewing the specific vocab: "une jupe, un pantalon, un chapeau, etc." (a skirt, a pant, a hat, etc.). Then the children had to write what they were wearing that day: "Je porte un pull, une jupe et des chaussures" (I wear a pullover, a skirt and shoes). After, they had to draw some clothes on a little girl and a little boy. And they had to write what they were wearing: "Il/Elle porte une robe rose et un chapeau vert" (he/she wears a pink dress and a green hat).
At the end, we sang a song about a group of children hidden in the forest. They were talking to the wolf, who was putting on his clothes. They asked him what he was doing, and the wolf was saying: "Je mets mon tee-shirt" (I put on my tee-shirt). At the end, when he's all dressed, he comes to eat the children. Some students volunteered to be the wolf, it was a lot of fun. The song is called "Promenons-nous dans les bois" (Let's have a walk in the woods).
See you next week,
